STARS ON ICE (Portland, USA)

Well, I got to do what I never thought I would - I went to an SOI show (my first and probably last) and got to see Ekaterina live! (Even had good seats!)
I thoroughly enjoyed the chance to go (I don't get out much! =), and it was an extra treat to see Ekaterina skate. I was surprised that she came all the way here and only did one number! She did her Russian folk dance program in the red dress with the gold trim down the front. She skated a clean program (including an axel and 2 loop).
When she appeared & was introduced, she received a VERY warm welcome from the audience. It was obvious I wasn't the only fan!
Daria was there, too, and appeared to be having a blast. She had a chair right by one of the rink entrances (the one less used), and she was in and out a lot. When she'd go backstage, she'd hop on this little electric scooter and go tooling off. She was sitting by a young (maybe teenage ?) girl that I couldn't see well.
During one of the guys' group numbers, one of the guys (Kurt? - didn't notice) came up to Daria & put his cowboy hat on her and danced with her. She hammed it up as much as he did!
Ekaterina didn't participate in any of the group numbers, but only came out at the end of the finale for final bows. It looked kind of funny, because all of the other girls were in fushia-pink outfits, and there was Ekaterina in her red dress - totally clashed!
Anyway, I had a great time, and I figured you all would appreciate my excitement far more than my family does! =)
