HOLIDAY CELEBRATION ON ICE

I also attended the Dec 2 holiday show. Alecia couldn't have written a better review. The only thing I can add was the show was very late in starting. I really agree with her. I wish I could have seen more skating from Ekaterina and Alexei. Ekaterina has never skated as well and as perfect as she did. She landed all of her jumps and had the fastest feet on ice ! She flew with the greatest of ease through her program! She also seemed to be concentrating very hard yet never loosing her smile or rapport with the audience. Alexei had to do a retake because of a missed jump, but he also was wonderful. The speed and ice coverage the Russian skaters have is incredible. Except for Scott, the Russians, Todd, Ina and John, the show was very slow and boring. The rest of the skaters did not even cover the ice. They had kind of lack luster programs. I think moving back to Con. not only gives Katia more ice time, but also more security with her family life knowing that she also has her mom and dad for backup when she is away. Also, the travel time is much shorter than flying back to the west coast. She has never looked better and she really is a special person. I also wish she had skated one more time !
