STARS ON ICE BELGIUM

Iīm late Iīm late I know!

But anyway here are my thoughts of the show, a little more than a week later.

The show was great, Katia was beautiful as always. It was only the second time I saw her live but what an evening! The opening was nice, I just couldnīt keep my eyes off Katia (which made my sister laugh... I liked the dress, from what I remember, these are the SOI 2003 finale dress, arenīt they?

I donīt have the program with me so Iīll do list the skaters and give my overall impressions, ok?

Nicole Bobek: first time seeing live, sorry for the ones who enjoyed her skating, but I found her pretty boring. but this may be due to her being tired as she came late in antwerpen I think

Stefan Linderman: I enjoyed watching him very much, heīs really a great skater!

Maria Butyrskaya: Iīve never been and will never be a fan of her skating, this time is no exception. I didnīt really enjoyed the programs.

FUsar-Poli and Margaglio: I liked their tango program. Sheīs such in a good shape, and she has a 5 month old daughter! Amazing.

Baiul: I didnīt reallly got the "chicken/swan lake" thing. I was disappointed to se her skating to Dove līamore. Although I never saw it live, I know she used this program at the 99 COI tour. I would have enjoyed a new program.

Van Der Perren: my god was he great! I love this guy (and heīs also handsome, IMO ), back to skating... I loved his program, and got puzzled by my sisterīs question: "heīs so great how come heīs not in the top 10 or top 5 at worlds?" to which I answered assuming he may lack a quad or something like that, but definitely a show man and a good skater!

Drobiazko Vanagas: spente le stelle, nice program, but same opinion as Biaul, very old program,. however, their new program to Pirates of the Carribean (sp?) was just breathtaking. all I could say at the end was WOW. they were amazing. my al time favorite program from them, definitely!

Kulik: I love his program, heīs an amazing skater, but please, can someone do something for the outfits? Heīs a handsome skater, why on earth does he have to wear such outfits?? Anyway, itīs always a treat to get to see Ilia skate, heīs got such amazing jumps and innovative tricks.

Katia: I LOVE the Caruso program. She just captures the flair of the program and definitely has the elegance that goes with an andrea bocelli song! the dress (the black one) was beautiful. is it me or has she lost some weight? Iīm not saying at all that she was fat, not at all, sheīs far from that. but I got the feeling that she lost some weight compared to last seasonīs show. I may be wrong, it may just be an outfit impression. Her second program to Alicia Keys was nice but itīs not my taste. I remember someone writting in a reviey that sheīs too elegant for this type of music/program, I agree 100%. But it was still nice to see her live, sheīs so happy, itīs amazing! she looks happier and happier with the years, thatīs great! and the dress was beautiful and the visual effect funny! James Bond medley: really cute. I loved the Katia part, where she plays the femme fatale. she seemed to have so much fun, I love this medley.

I think thatīs all for my "review". I may have forgot someone, but then he/she didnīt leave me an unforgettable impression!

On a non-show note, it was a pleasure to be able to meet Su-Jan and Stephan. I also met another fan, but canīt spell her name anymore

But nevertheless I hope weīll see the photo we took, well, that Stephan took, online soon.

I also hope that Katia will attend next yearīs show, this would be wonderful!

well now I have to go as the computer room is closing!
