STARS ON ICE (Portland, ME)

I attended Portland SOI lastnight, and I have to say it was one of the best shows I've been too. The only other show that really compares is the 99-00 season. It was so great to see Katia skate again, and she seemed so happy to be on the ice. When they were announcing the skaters, Katia received some of the biggest applause. The crowd just loved her. She skated better than I remember, although she did have a small fall on her Heartburn number, but it didn't affect the program at all. She was awesome! Scott Hamilton was there and at the end Katia went over to shake his hand, but he grabbed her and gave her a big hug and she gave him a big kiss on the cheek. It was so cute!! All of the other skaters were right on as well. Jamie and David and Todd received somewhat partial standing ovations with the last two programs, I think the standing o's were started by Scott! lol. Overall it was an amazing night!! If anyone has questions, I would be happy to answer them later!
